Year Two

In year two we do lots of neat handwriting. Our handwriting sessions are in the afternoons in guided reading. The teachers show us how to write neatly and correctly on the smartboard. We have special mark-making books to help us write neatly.

We do lots of writing in Year Two.  We write stories, instructions, explanations, recounts and invitations.  When we do our writing we have to think about our capital letters and full-stops and remember to use lots of interesting words so that other people will want to read our work.

We often have special topic days in Year Two.  Here we are on one of our special Maths Days.  We were looking at patterns in this game to see if we could make a row of four.  It was tricky, but lots of fun! 

In Year Two we do lots of work on the computers. We have 3 computers in each classroom, a laptop to run our Smartboard and 16 laptops for us to use if we want to work together as a class.
