Pre-School

The aim of the Pre-School is to provide a happy, stimulating environment for our youngest children. We are concerned with ensuring that they have a wide variety of experiences so that they are able to make a smooth transition into main school. Pre-school offers a full day for children.
In the Pre-School we cover the development matters of the Foundation Curriculum. The curriculum is divided into six areas of learning:

Personal, social and emotional, Language and Literacy
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy,
Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Creative Development and
Physical Development.
In Pre-School we love to paint. We use lots of colours and shapes to make our pictures. Sometimes, if we are very careful we can cut our pictures out. It is quite tricky.
We like to use our hands to make things. This is us painting. Can you guess what our pictures are going to be about?

Miss Keating teaches us PE.  She is our specialist coach.  We are getting good at linking our movements together.

We like to play games in Pre-School. It is lots of fun. We learn all about rules and taking turns. It also teaches us to count on and recognise numbers.
We can use the computer.  Ours are touch-screen!
