Thank you for inviting us to James' Birthday Assembly today. We were very impressed at how grown up and confident he was in telling everyone about his 5th Birthday! He loves being part of the school and he was so pleased that we were able to join him this morning and also this afternoon at Sports Day. Thank you all very much, it was fun.

Thank you for your comments. James did speak very confidently didn't he! We are very lucky at Churchdown Village Infant School to have such delightful children and supportive parents

really enjoyed it at the Cheltenham Festival. Thank you to Mrs Williams who helped me in recorders to play Grandfathers Clock. I won the Recorder Cup, medal and certificate. Thank you to Mrs Stewart and Mr Stewart for helping us to do so well in choir and for helping us win the cup again.

Well done Abigail. You did very well at The Cheltenham Festival, as did everyone who took part

On Tuesday I really enjoyed going to the Gloucester Museum. I liked the classroom. it had lots of benches and you were not allowed to speak to each other. The Teacher told the girls to clean up at break time. I had to write with my right hand which is really hard because I am left handed. The teacher was much more strict that Mrs Western.

We are glad you enjoyed your visit to The Folk Museum. The Victorian Teacher was very strict wasn't she!!

Hello to all our friends in Year 1. We have enjoyed looking at the art work and reading all the latest news.

Amy loves being in Miss Timings class and enjoyed writing her Witches poem. Her certificate meant alot to her especially as Sam already has two !

Sam is enjoying Mrs Simpsons class. He thought it was brilliant that he was allowed to bring his Joseph CD to class this week and listen to some of the songs with his friends.

Thank you

I heard Mrs Jarrett talking about the visit of the Life Bus on BBC Radio Gloucestershire today. It is a shame the three year 2 children didn't get much of a chance to speak, but well done to them. (Christa, Georgia and Oliver?) The item really brightened up my normally gloomy drive to work on a Monday morning!

We had a lovely time at school making Christmas things and we're really sad we didn't get to finish our stockings because school was closed today. We've just looked at Mrs. Jarrett's wedding pictures. We liked them and thought Mrs Jarret looked very pretty.

We are looking forward to going back to school tomorrow.

Thank you Miss Timings, Mrs Daniel, Mrs Western, Mrs Edwards and Mrs Rayers. I really enjoyed Infant school and all the activities I was able to do. I loved the Cheltenham Festival, being in the choir, recorders and performing poetry and prose. I was a little embarrassed when I watched the International dvd but I'm pleased the school won an award. I will miss you all but you will still see me around as Alex and Gabby are with you now. Thanks again, Chris.
We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Churchdown Infants Christopher. Your performance in the International DVD was a joy to watch and we think you should be very proud of all your fantastic achievements, well done.

Thank you to everyone who taught Christopher. He has gone to Juniors a happy, confident, caring child who is a pleasure to have around. I hope that every school he attends realises and encourages his wonderful attitude and brings out the best in him as CVIS did.
Thank you for your lovely comments. All staff will remember Christopher with great affection. We consider all our pupils to be our greatest asset and really appreciate all the support we get from our parents, so thank you again.

Hello everybody! I'm Miss Sonia, one of the Spanish teachers who were in Mrs Johnson's class in March 2007. My best regards to my Reception class and all the staff. I am missing you all very much. Now I am working with year 2 Spanish children and I tell them how sensible these children were and what wonderful smiles they had. I'm very happy to hear that Mrs Miles is getting better and Miss Wood wedding was great.
Thank you very much to everybody for your help.
Hello Miss Sonia, how lovely to hear from you. We are so glad you are doing so well back in Spain and wish you well with your new Year Two class. It would be lovely to keep in contact. Perhaps your Year Two children would like to have some emailing friends at our school.

It is nearly the end of our summer holiday and I have just been enjoying looking at our school website. It is really fantastic to see all of the things we have been doing and to read the comments. Fantastic news too!!!!!!! We have received the highest International School award for all of the International work we do in school. I left the Infant School back in 2002, but still see it as the starting point for my education. The teaching then was excellent, and now, with all the technology it must me outstanding! I thorougly enjoyed CVIS and would go back there anyday. It's great to see the school flourishing as it well deserves! Best of luck in the future.

Dear Mrs Western and Year 2(GW) - I just thought I would pop in and say hello. You all did such a good job of helping me to become a 'proper' teacher that I have been given a job in a lovely primary school in Hertfordshire for September. I will be teaching Year 4, but I will always have fond memories of teaching Year 2 at Churchdown. I hope you are all going to try hard to do your best in your SATS. Best wishes, Miss Kirkcaldy.

We are so pleased for you Miss Kirkcaldy, congratulations. Perhaps we can link up with your new school through email.
Thank you for helping us with our work.

I had a great Easter holiday and love being back at school in Mrs Jarratt's class where I have lots of friends. I was worried at first when mummy said I wouldn't be in Miss Wood's class after Easter - then I realised what she meant! I think Mrs Jarratt looks beautiful in her wedding dress.
I'm glad the weather is warmer so we can wear our summer dresses.
I love painting, drawing, reading & writing and often visit this site to see if there are any new photos.

It is great to be in our summer uniforms already isn't it Maya!

To all the staff, children and parents who made my last day at school before our wedding such a lovely memorable day! It was such a special way to start the celebrations. Well done to all the children, especially those in my class, who managed to keep everything a secret for so long. The wedding day itself was wonderful. May we also take this opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions towards our present (Denby crockery set), the many gifts the children brought in and the lovely cards we have received. Looking forward to seeing you at he beginning of term. Much love, Mr & Mrs Jarratt. x

I know my little sister Anna loves going to school and she is always telling me that Mrs. Williams keeps calling her Katie, she finds it quite funny. See you all soon Katie xxx

I'm so pleased to see the school still flourishing! I have many fond memories of Churchdown Village Infants (and Junior) schools from my time there in the 1970's. I still live nearby and often walk past the schools. How time passes - my son is now 4 and a half years old himself! I remember myself as around this age attending the school........
